Pile on changing metabolism, fluctuating hormones, caring for aging parents, relationship dynamics, retirement or job changes, and empty nesting, and the temptation to slip into frumpy-ness or stop trying is real.
The first piece of good news is that we don’t have to give up, but we may need to adjust our tactics a bit. It doesn’t all have to be complicated, and we don’t have to spend hours or too much money to step out of the house feeling (and looking) polished and put together.
The other good news is that you’re not alone. Many of us are navigating similar struggles and feelings about this time of life with seemingly little information or help available.
While this blog certainly doesn’t aim to address all of life’s issues, it’s meant as a place for me to share some ideas - mostly updated classic fashion, home and a tiny bit of self care - girlfriend to girlfriend, for women over 50. Follow along and see if any of it may be helpful to you too.
